Hauling yourself out of bed on a cold, soggy Saturday morning and heading to an exposed Warwickshire airfield to run round in circles doesn’t sound that appealing but I had something to prove.
Hot on the heels of the Iffley Miles, I headed to the Olympic Park to see if I score a second PB in as many days at the Great Newham London 10k. The day turned out to be amazing, tough and ridiculous in equal measures!
Tonight I was back to a proper Juneathon activity: running!
Like a comet orbiting the Earth, the Carterton 10k made its re-appearance in my running calendar today. Each year it seems to hold something different for me and, ironically, this year was no different.

Complete my first half marathon since 2006 and complete a half marathon in under 2 hours
Cover more than 131km (my Juneathon 2011 distance) in Janathon 2012
Cover more kilometres in Juneathon 2012 than both previous ‘athons
Complete my fundraising challenge by raising over £1,000 for Maggie’s
Get more than 10 people to run the Carterton 10k with me to celebrate the end of my running challenge
