Here’s the next installment about my recent participation in the international sketchbook project organised by Arthouse.
The theme I chose was “Along The Line” which I’ve interpretted both literally in terms of the style of my drawings but also to use the pages to portray different things associated with the timeline of my life so far – a mini-autobiography, if you will.
I headed to University like a salmon swimming upstream – my dad’s family are from the Toon and it felt like home fro the day we went for an Open Day. I loved the feeling of crossing the Tyne into Newcastle, seeing all the bridges.
Hopefully, you’ll recognise my abstracted view of an iconic running-related image – that of the red arrows flying over the Tyne Bridge after the start of the Great North Run.
